We are proud to share that Living in Need, a short documentary produced by AK Films and directed by Alexander Kwanje, has won Best Documentary Short at the Oakland Film Festival, Winter 2023.
This powerful film offers an unflinching, compassionate portrayal of individuals living on the margins of society people who, despite overwhelming challenges, continue to fight for dignity, survival, and hope. Told through AK Films’ signature cinematic style, the story is a raw, honest, and deeply human reflection on poverty, resilience, and the silent strength of those too often overlooked.
