I was enthralled by the narratives woven into the fabric of my surroundings, and I made it my mission to bring these stories to life. In my teenage years, I found solace in documentaries films that revealed the raw and poignant truths of human existence. As the child of an Iranian mother and an African father, I encountered my share of adversity. I recall a specific moment when I felt the weight of discrimination, a stark reminder that my voice often felt muted in a cacophony of silence. Yet, the dream of America and Hollywood pulsed through my veins, fueling my determination to rise above these challenges. This dream not only served as a beacon of hope but also guided me in finding my voice and sharing the stories that yearned to be heard.

At the age of 18, I embarked on my professional cinematic journey. From humble beginnings as an assistant director to sound and camera operator, I honed my craft, driven by a singular vision. My roots in Iran fueled my dedication to film, with Hollywood serving as the ultimate dream. Each challenge I faced became a stepping stone toward realizing my ambition to create art on one of the world’s grandest stages.
The years that followed were a quest for the finest talent and the most creative minds to join me on this journey. It took time and perseverance, but eventually, I assembled a remarkable team my dream team. Each member brings a unique background and perspective, enriching our collective vision. Together, we founded AKFilms Productions, dedicated to turning aspirations into reality. Our mission is clear: to give wings to dreams and to help others tell their stories.
Now, after more than 23 years since that fateful summer, I proudly lead a team that shares my passion for storytelling. We focus on illuminating the human experience through documentaries and reality shows for streaming platforms. For me, documentaries are more than just films; they are vital connections between cultures and emotions.
